COVID Protocols & Processes

Daily Expectations


  • Parents must screen their student for COVID-19 symptoms before sending to school.


  • Parents will keep their student home if they are having symptoms of COVID-19 or experiencing any of the following symptoms that are NOT normal for him/her until he/she meets the criteria to return to campus (included below) *Please note, these symptoms are present in many illnesses other than Covid 19
  • Fever (100.0 Fahrenheit or greater)
  • Cough                                                                 
  • Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing
  • Repeated shaking with chills                           
  • Muscle pain
  • Headache                                                           
  • Sore throat
  • Loss of taste or smell                                         
  • Diarrhea
  • Congestion or runny nose                                 
  • Nausea or vomiting
  • Fatigue


  • Parents will report to the school if their student tests positive for COVID-19.


  • It is ENCOURAGED that parents keep students who are identified as having close contact/exposure home.


  • It is ENCOURAGED that students properly wear a mask over their nose and mouth while at school at this time.


  • Students should frequently wash their hands with soap and water or with hand sanitizer.


To be considered exposed to COVID-19, you must have had close contact with a person who has the virus. Close contact includes being within 6 feet of a sick person with the virus for 15 minutes or more throughout the course of a 24-hour period, starting 2 days before the positive person started showing symptoms or 2 days before positive testing for person who is asymptomatic, caring for a sick person with the virus, you had direct physical contact with the sick person (hugged or kissed them), shared eating or drinking utensils, they sneezed, coughed, or somehow got respiratory droplets on you.
